Hogs set for two more home games this weekend

Rockford, Ill.- This Friday marks the halfway point of the 2005-06 regular season for the Rockford IceHogs. The Hogs will host a pair of games at the Rockford MetroCentre against two Central Division opponents and will wrap up Week 14 of the '05-06 campaign with a road contest in Fort Wayne against the Komets.

On Friday night the Port Huron Flags return to the MetroCentre for the second time this season. The Hogs will look to avenge a shootout loss suffered on Dec. 23. The first 1,000 fans to the game on Friday will receive IceHogs Poster #4 in a series of seven from Medicine Man, Johnson Press, Pepsi, the Rockford Register Star and Jim Orlando Photography. Also, don't forget your skates because you can skate with the Hogs following the game. Game time is 7:05 p.m. on Friday.

The IceHogs will then begin the second half of the '05-06 season at the MetroCentre on Saturday when the Flint Generals return to town for visit #2. Saturday is one the IceHogs' most popular giveaways as the first 1,000 fans to the game will receive a special edition IceHogs hat from Wireless One, 23WIFR and WXRX-FM 104.9. The puck drops at 7:05 p.m. on Saturday.

Tickets to any upcoming IceHogs home game can be purchased at the MetroCentre Box Office, by calling (815) 968-5222 or logging on to centreevents.com. Fans still have an opportunity to purchase season tickets, ensuring their seats for the 2006 Colonial Cup Playoffs. For season or group ticket information, call the Hogs office at (815) 986-6465.

All IceHogs games can be heard on the Hogs Flagship Radio Station, WNTA-AM 1330 and through the B2 Network on the IceHogs Web site, icehogs.com, beginning with the Pre-Game Show 15 minutes before face off. Sunday's game at Fort Wayne, beginning at 4 p.m., can be heard on the IceHogs Radio Network, including WTJK-AM ESPN Radio 1380 "The Jock".

Also, the IceHogs and Quad City Mallards announced a game time change for the rivals contest on Saturday, Feb. 4 at the MARK of the Quad Cities. The game will begin at 5 p.m. and tickets for the contest can be purchased by calling the MARK at (563) 326-1111.
