Hogs Ride Three Game Win Streak into Divisional Showdown with Griffins

Rockford, Ill. - The Rockford IceHogs (20-17-1-1) will be thinking pink at the BMO Harris Bank Center tonight, as they ride a three-game winning streak into a divisional face-off with the Grand Rapids Griffins (22-12-2-2) at 7:05 p.m.

The Hogs will be donning pink jerseys for the fourth annual "Pink In The Rink" night. Two of the jerseys will be raffled off during the contest, with the IceHogs' Ice Crew selling single tickets for $5 or five tickets for $20. And the remaining jerseys will be made available by blind silent auction.

Bidding on the blind silent auction will open at 6 p.m., and bids will be accepted until the end of the second period. Bids can be placed behind section 124 and the winners will be announced in the third period. Winning bids will have an opportunity to get their jersey autographed following the game and receive a pair of the game worn socks.

A portion of all proceeds from the auction will be donated to the Mary Kay Foundation and American Cancer Society through the IceHogs Charitable Foundation.

Also tonight, the first 5,000 fans to the BMO Harris Bank Center will receive an IceHogs pink rally towel and pink neon glow bracelet courtesy of Dickerson & Nieman Realtors, Ferrellgas, Metropolitan Title Agency, Rasmussen College and Divine Weddings and D.J. Services.

Rockford shows a 2-4-0-0 record against the Griffins this season, and Grand Rapids holds a six point lead over the IceHogs for the top spot in the Midwest Division.

Next Home Game: It's Kids Day at the BMO Harris Bank Center on Monday as the Rockford IceHogs and Texas Stars square off in a 1:05 p.m. tilt. The first 1,000 kids ages 14 and under will receive a drawstring bag courtesy of Hog Wash.
