Binghamton Senators News Release

BINGHAMTON, NY - The Binghamton Senators, in conjunction with the American Hockey League, are proud to announce that forward Mike Hoffman has been named to the 2013-14 AHL All-Star First Team. The All-Star teams are voted on by AHL coaches, players and media in each of the league's 30 member cities.

Hoffman, 24, has compiled career highs in goals, assists and total points this season with the B-Sens. In just 51 games played, he has tallied 30 goals and 37 assists for 67 points before being recalled to Binghamton's National Hockey League affiliate, the Ottawa Senators, on February 23 where he has since remained.

Selected by Ottawa in the fifth-round of the 2009 Entry Draft (130th overall), Hoffman has played in 242 games with Binghamton while totaling 71 goals and 169 points. The Kitchener, ON, native ranks 3rd all-time in B-Sens history for goals scored while his 169 points ranks 4th all-time.

Hoffman joins goaltender Jake Allen of Chicago, Defensemen T.J. Brennan of Toronto and Adam Clendening of Rockford as well as center Travis Morin and right wing Colton Sceviour, both from Texas, on the first team all-stars.

Players named to the AHL Second Team were Grand Rapids' goaltender Petr Mrazek, defensemen Adam Almquist of Grand Rapids and Brad Hunt of Oklahoma City, left wing Zach Boychuk of Charlotte, center Andy Miele of Portland and right winger Spencer Abbott of Toronto.

Each All-Star Team member will receive a custom-designed crystal award in recognition of his selection to the 2013-14 AHL First and Second All-Star Teams.
