Chicago Hitmen News Release

The Chicago Hitmen were swept in a three game set this weekend by the St. Louis. The first place Bandits showed why they are in first place winning the three games by a combined 14-4.

Offensively, the Hitmen Nick Booth netted his second and third of the season in Saturday ‚¬â„¢s loss. Max Douglas scored his first as a Hitman, and seventh of the season in that game as well. Sunday ‚¬â„¢s lone goal came from Brent Formosa, it was his fifth of the season. Jake McDowell worked hard to win the puck and wrap it around the net for a stuff shot before Formosa banged home the rebound.

On the defensive side, Alec Wilhelmi finished the weekend +1, playing in Saturday and Sunday ‚¬â„¢s games. Peter Nesper finished even after going +1 in both Saturday and Sunday to make up for Friday ‚¬â„¢s -2. In net Reid Mimmack stopped 94 of the 104 shots he faced in the final two games of the set for a .904 save percentage on the weekend.
