Hitmen Defeat Rockets; Team Hits The Road

The Calgary Hitmen defeated the Kelowna Rockets 4-1 on Friday night at Prospera Place in Kelowna.

Tyson Barrie had the lone goal of the game for the Rockets while Mark Guggenberger started in net, facing 35 shots in the game.

The game was tied at 1-1 after the first period before Calgary made it 2-1 after two periods of play and added two more, including an empty netter, in the third.

Calgary goal scorers were Cody Sylvester, Zac Stebner, Ian Schultz and Del Cowan.

The Rockets now head out on a five game road trip that begins Saturday night in Portland and continues Sunday in Seattle.

After that the club will return to Kelowna before heading to Alberta for three games next week. Kelowna plays Wednesday in Lethbridge, Friday in Edmonton and Saturday in Calgary.

That trip will close out the month of February. The Rockets next home game is March 3 when they host Spokane.
