
Hilliard named UIF Defensive Player of the Week

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - United Indoor Football announced Thursday that Tennessee Valley Raptors defensive back Sean Hilliard had been named its Defensive Player of the Week.
Hilliard (6-foot-1, 205 pounds) returned an interception 32-yards for a touchdown and a fumble 10-yards for another in the Raptors' 45-33 road win at Ohio Valley on Saturday night. The Cumberland University product also had four solo tackles and five assists.
"Sean played one heck of a game,'' Raptors coach Dick Adams said. "He's made some really big plays for us this year and he just keeps getting better and better. He definitely deserves the honor."
Hilliard is currently fifth on the Raptors with 52.5 tackles and also has two tackles for a loss and five pass breakups.
The Raptors (5-8) return to action Saturday night when they take on the Tupelo Fireants (3-11) at the Von Braun Center. Kickoff is set for 7:30, $5 mezzanine tickets are available and the first 1,500 kids 14 and under will receive a Raptors Replica Jersey compliments of WHNT-TV 19, TOC and Huntsville Hospital.
