
Raptors Park to be open on Saturday

Along with the first home game of the season at the MetroCentre on Saturday, Fans are invited to come to Raptors Park, located at the Southwest Patio at the arena.
Raptor Park will open at 5:30 p.m. and will remain open until game time. Fans will be able to enjoy music by Magic Mike.
Food such as Burgers, Brats, Hot Dogs and Chips will be available for purchase along with beer, soda and water.
Fans will also be able to purchase food from the FLIPSIDE GRILL, including Chicken Strips, Grilled Chicken Sandwich and Nachos

The Raptors are pleased to announce that former all-time great St. Louis Cardinals wide receiver Mel Gray will be on hand for the ceremonial coin toss before Saturday's game between the Raptors and defending UIF Champion, Sioux Falls. Gray, a football and track standout at the University of Missouri, played for the Cardinals from 1971 until 1982 catching 351 passes for 6,644 yards and 45 touchdowns. Gray has been a Rockford resident for the past seven years and works in the special education department at Lincoln Middle School
After the game, fans are invited to the Post-Game Party to be held at Park Lanes Bowl, located at 5318 North Second Street in Loves Park. Fans will be able to meet and talk to the Raptor players and coaches.
