
Hightower agrees to roost in Kearney

Kearney, Neb. â The Nebraska Cranes announce the signing of Cory Hightower, a 6'7" guard/forward who most recently played for the Yakima Sunkings (CBA).
Hightower played at Indian Hills Community College from 1998-2000 where his team was Junior College National Champions and he was voted as Junior College Tournament MVP. He attended a veteran camp in 2000-01 with the Los Angeles Lakers and played with the Harlem Globetrotters-Competitive Team. In 2001-02, Hightower played on the Orlando Magic Summer League Team, attended a veteran camp with the Charlotte Hornets and played with the Chicago Bulls Summer Team in the LA Summer League.
In 2002-03, Hightower played for the Great Lakes Storm (CBA) where he was CBA All-Star. In 2003-04, he played for the Yakima Sunkings (CBA) and in the Philippines.
Preview the Nebraska Cranes in a Blue/Gold scrimmage on Friday, April 15 at UNK at 7. p.m. and Sunday April 17th at Hastings College at 3 p.m.
