
Highmark Stadium Goes Gold on Saturday

PITTSBURGH - The postseason has finally arrived on the shores of the Monongahela River for the first-ever playoff game in Highmark Stadium history. No. 3 seed Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC will host cross-state rival and No. 6 seed Bethlehem Steel FC in the USL Cup Playoffs Quarterfinals at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 20.
The 100th game ever played at Highmark Stadium will be a gold out. All fans in attendance will receive a gold rally towel, courtesy of Allegheny Health Network, and, additionally, the first 2,000 fans 21-years-and-older will get a gold t-shirt, provided by Heineken.
The party will get started early with gates opening at 5:30 p.m. and $1 beers leading up to kickoff. In the West End parking lot, the Hounds will be offering up two tailgate options for fans. Moe's Southwest Grill will be on hand offering cuisine and a ticket to the match for only $15 - link to purchase can be found here. In addition, Hounds owner Tuffy Shallenberger will be hosting a special pre-game barbeque running from 2-6 p.m.
