Johnstown Tomahawks Forward Drew Doyon Celebrates Niko Coffman's First Period Goal

PITTSTON, Pa - The Johnstown Tomahawks used a four-goal third period to defeat the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights 6-2 Friday night at the Revolution Ice Centre.
The Tomahawks opened the scoring at 17:34 when Niko Coffman's point shot found its way behind Wilkes-Barre/Scranton goaltender Andrey Svistunov. Brendan Jaquay registered the lone assist on the goal.
Anthony Parrucci increased the Tomahawks lead to 2-0 with his goal early in the second period at 5:52. Dante Suffredini and Drew Doyon added the helpers on Parrucci's tally.
The Knights would work their back into the game when Stephen Kelly accepted a pass from Zed Dietrich and lifted the puck over the blocker of Tomahawks goalie Ryan Glander to cut the lead to 2-1 Johnstown.
Wilkes-Barre/Scranton tied the game at 12:57 when Zach Remers scored his seventh goal of the season. Paul Maust and Carson Knop were credited with the assists.
In the third period, the Tomahawks regained the advantage with a Casey Linkenheld power-play goal assisted by Brendan Jaquay.
Linkenheld netted another power-play goal at 11:04 which was followed by a Jaquay goal four minutes later.
Alex Alger finished the four-goal period, scoring at 16:29. Tiernan Seningen picked up the assist.
Glander stopped 35 Knights shots on goal for his seventh win of the season. Svistunov picked up the defeat, his seventh, while halting 40 Tomahawks shots.
The Tomahawks are back in action Saturday, Feb. 20 at Wilkes-Barre/Scranton at 7 p.m. The team returns home Friday, Feb. 26 for Red Out Night and the start of a two-game series with the Aston Rebels. Saturday, Feb. 27 is the fourth annual Pucks & Paws game where fans can bring their friendly dogs to the game for a $5 donation.
