
Higgins Suspended by SPHL

HUNTERSVILLE, NC - The Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) on Wednesday announced that Mississippi's Sam Higgins has been suspended three games for his actions in Game 67, Columbus at Mississippi, on Tuesday, December 8.
At the 11:34 mark of the second period, Higgins was assessed a major penalty and game misconduct for kneeing.
Higgins will miss Mississippi's games against Peoria (December 11 and 12) and Louisiana (December 19).
The RiverKings return to Concorde Career College Ice at the Landers Center on Sunday, December 27 at 3:05 p.m. for the team's first Pay What You Can Night. All seats start at a minimum $2 anywhere in the building and can be purchased by calling 662-342-1755.
