Hershey Bears News Release
HERSHEY - The HERSHEY BEARS announced today in conjunction with the American Hockey League that Sunday's game with the Binghamton Senators has been postponed due to icy conditions in central Pennsylvania. The game has been rescheduled for this Wednesday night at 7:00 PM.
"With the weather conditions throughout central Pennsylvania, we feel that for the safety of our fans and our employees, the right decision is to reschedule the game", said BEARS President/GM Doug Yingst. "The safety of our fans and our employees is our top priority."
The postponement is the first at GIANT Center since January 22, 2004 when the BEARS and Philadelphia Phantoms were canceled due to snow. Several roads in close proximity to GIANT Center have been closed for several hours due to fallen tree limbs, and as of 12 noon, much of HERSHEY is without electrical power.
