
Hens Hire New Turf Manager

Toledo Mud Hens News Release
The Toledo Mud Hens have announced today that they have hired Jake Tyler as their new Sports Turf Manager. Tyler comes to Toledo from the Double-A Binghamton Mets of the Eastern League where he has spent the last three seasons.
The 24-year-old joined the B-Mets after two seasons as an assistant with the Louisville Bats of the International League. Binghamton's playing surface has been hailed as the consistently best surface in the Eastern League and throughout the Mets' Minor League system.
*Tyler's efforts were rewarded with the Eastern League Field of the Year honors in 2002 & 2004.
Tyler will have the Fifth Third Field playing surface in top shape when the Hens begin the 2005 home season on Friday, April 15th versus the Durham Bulls.
