Sacramento Heatwave News Release
Fresno, CA. Angelia Green, Operations Manager of the ABA Fresno Heatwave announced today that the team will open the preseason with a "Weekend Extravaganza," playing the Utah Snowbears on November 6th at 7PM and the Ontario Warriors on Sunday November 7th at 4PM. Both games will be played at Selland Arena in Downtown Fresno.
Ticket prices will be $3 general admission for Saturday night's game and $7 for Sunday afternoon's game. According to Ms. Green, "That's two days of great fast-paced, fan-friendly ABA basketball for an outstanding $10. We want Fresno and the Central Valley to come out and support their new and improved Heatwave basketball team not to mention our new Inferno Dance Team."
Former Central Valley native Ike Austin, who played basketball at Reedly College, coaches the Utah Snowbears. Ms. Green added, "We were very excited when Coach Austin agreed to come out and play us and who better to play against than another product of the Central Valley. It's definitely going to be a competitive game. Councilwoman, Cynthia Sterling, will be taking our first shot to kick off the preseason and we will be introducing the "HOT BOX." You definitely don't want to miss out.
Tickets are now on sale for the preseason games as well as for the season through the Selland Arena Box Office and Ticketmaster. Season tickets start as low as $180. "We hope to see all of Fresno and the Central Valley out for a great weekend of ABA basketball.
