Harrisburg Heat News Release

The Heat went 1-1 last weekend to close out a four-game homestand and come into the week at 4-4, in third place in the MISL's Eastern Conference.

On Saturday, 5,130 fans saw the Heat jump out to a 6-2 halftime lead and a 12-4 lead after three before giving up four unanswered fourth-quarter goals to the Baltimore Blast, sending the game into overtime. Ze Roberto, playing his first game of the year and his first indoor game since the 2000-01 season, scored the game-winner at 8:26 of the extra stanza. Genoni Martinez scored a pair of 2pgs for Harrisburg, and David Bascome led the Heat with two 2pgs and an assist for five points. Doug Petras got the win, making 23 saves.

The Heat built a first-half lead again Sunday, this time taking a 6-0 advantage into intermission, but the Kansas City Comets scored 12 unanswered points through the third and early fourth quarters to capture the momentum and, ultimately, a 15-10 victory. Doug Petras made 30 saves, one shy of the team single-game record. Marco Lopez, who scored his first Heat goal Saturday night, bagged three 2pgs for six points.
