The WBA Anderson Heat yesterday signed 6"1 point guard Octavius Thomas who will start tonite against the Marietta Storm at Life University at 7:00.Thomas was once ranked as the second best high school ballplayer in America,behind New Jersey Nets Jason Kidd.Known as a local high school legend,Thomas attended South Atlanta High School.He has played pro basketball from New York to California with Coach Anthony Jones traveling exhibition pro team and have tryout for several pro teams.The Heat staff think the fans will be watching something special when Thomas play tonite since he is the first ballplayer selected to play on the Gwizzlies California summer pro league team in Long Beach in July.
