For the past 60 years the CBA has been the training ground for future NBA coaches.Phil Jackson,George Karl to name a few,but their is a new kid on the block in pro basketball world,the WBA.From the Rome Gladiators GM/Coach Harold Ellis to Marietta Storms GM/Coach Lionel Garrett,the WBA have skilled,smart coaches among it's ranks.Cartersville GM/Coach David Archer,WBA execs Mike Glenn and Phil Oliver have the pro basketball knowledge and logistical talent to land in some NBA team front office.Ellis,Garrett and Glenn have an upside on the rest,they all once played in the NBA."Their is one way I could get in the league as coach and it is spelled with two letters,D.J.says Anderson Heat GM Embry Malone.Referring to Dennis Johnson,the former Boston Celtic great,whom Malone think will get a callup from the D-league coaching to be a head coach of a NBA team again.Johnson was the interim coach of the Los Angeles Clippers team in 2003,which consisted mostly of the ballplayers playing in the playoffs against the Phoenix Suns today."When Dennis Johnson was the Head Coach of the Los Angeles Clippers he took the time to look at my free agent ballplayers that I brought to the California summer pro league,even invite us to practice sates Malone."If Reggie Jackson will be forever known as Mr.October in pro baseball in the 70"s,surely in pro basketball in the 80's Dennis Johnson should be remembered as Mr.June.
