Connecticut Sun News Release
Uncasville, CT - Heal-LLC has been named the Connecticut Sun's "Change Can't Wait" Business of the Month this November. HEAL, which stands for "Helping Everyone Accept and Adapt to Life," is an organization founded to help individuals work through and heal from life-altering situations. Owner and Licensed Professional Counselor, Chevelle Moss-Savage (she/her) has more than 20 years of experience working in mental health as a therapist, group facilitator, instructor, and case manager.
"I am honored to be a part of this campaign. The fact that the Connecticut Sun came up with this campaign is awesome because it brings awareness to so many things and so many underserved populations that people don't even realize are important. We are not monolithic beings; we are multidimensional beings, and we have so many intersecting identities. When one thing affects one person, it affects so many other aspects of their life."
HEAL, with its particular focus on the role that individuals' different cultures, ethnicities, and belief systems plays in mental health, has created a safe space for people of all backgrounds to receive the support and care that they need. Moss-Savage, with her extremely diverse set of skills and ranges of expertise, has made it her mission to promote diversity and multi-cultural awareness through intersectionality trainings with the hope of eradicating stigmas related to mental health, disabilities, spiritual beliefs, and/or LGBTQ+ identities.
"We are so excited to promote HEAL's mission of focusing on and improving mental health. HEAL is an impactful business that has been helping members of the community for years. The founder, Chevelle Moss-Savage, fights for inclusivity for all people while helping her clients and community members navigate difficult situations in their lives. Her commitment and dedication to helping those in need line up perfectly with our Change Can't Wait principles, and it is our honor to have Heal as our November 'Change Can't Wait' Business of the Month." - Morgan Tuck, Director of Franchise Development
