Yuma Scorpions News Release

(Yuma, AZ) - The Yuma Scorpions announced today that fans wanting tickets for the rescheduled game in San Luis Rio Colorado, Mexico, on Tuesday, August 30th with the Japan Samurai Bears, need to purchase their tickets by this Monday, August 22nd at 5PM, if they're going to buy them from the Scorpions' offices. All tickets for the game are only $3. The game will be the final regular season game for both the Scorpions and the Samurai Bears, and could very well decide the playoff fate of the Scorpions. The game is a makeup game which was originally slated to be the second game of a June 30th doubleheader against the Japan Samurai Bears. The game will be an 8PM start, and will be a fundraiser for a number of charities in San Luis, including a marching band that has been invited to play in the 2006 Rose Bowl Parade on New Year's Day. The GBL has sent maintenance crews to Estadio Revolucion-site of the game-to help with stadium maintenance and minor improvements in preparation of the game.

For those wanting to purchase tickets for the game, they may do so in a variety of ways. First, they can stop by the Scorpions' main office today until 5PM (located behind the center field wall at Desert Sun Stadium), or on Monday from 9AM until 5PM. They can also call the Scorpions' office during those same hours of business at (928) 257-4700. Or, fans can log on to www.yumascorpions.com anytime between now and Monday at 5PM to order their seats. After Monday, August 22nd, fans that wish to attend the game will have to purchase them at Estadio Revolucion in San Luis RC, Mexico.
