Newly Appointed Rapids Head Coach, Fernando Clavijo to Make National TV Appearance on Univision's "Republica Deportiva"
Regarded as the Most Watched Spanish Speaking Sports Show in the United States, Republica Deportiva will Air Live on Sunday, January 2, 2005 Starting at 11:00 a.m. (MT) on Univision
Denver, CO (12-30-04)- Newly appointed Colorado Rapids Head Coach, Fernando Clavijo will appear on Univision's national Spanish speaking sports Show "Republica Deportiva" this Sunday, January 2 starting at 11:00 a.m.
Clavijo, who took the reins of the Black and Blue on December 22, 2004 is expected to address his goals for the club, the challenges that the team will face prior to the start of the 2005 Major League Soccer season, and potential new player acquisitions for the franchise among others.
The Uruguay native will make his Rapids Head Coach debut in an official MLS game on Saturday, April 2nd, when the Rapids kick off the 2005 season on the road visiting the Kansas City Wizards at Arrowhead Stadium.
The Rapids, along with Clavijo, will make their home debut on April 9th when they host Western Conference rival F.C. Dallas at INVESCO Field.
