Haymakers Look To Crush Edge

April 24, 2014 - Champions Professional Indoor Football League (CPIFL)
Lincoln Haymakers News Release

Lincoln, NE- The Lincoln Haymakers will take on the Bloomington Edge this Saturday, April 26th at 7:05pm at the Pershing Center. The Haymakers seek to sweep the home series against the Edge and bounce back from a tough road loss to Dodge City. The Haymakers will play the Edge one more time in Bloomington to close out the season on May 24th, but look to take the season advantage this Saturday night.

The Haymakers fought off Bloomington earlier this season for a much needed win. The game ended up being one of the most entertaining games in Haymakers history with Lincoln coming out on top 54-50. Much could be accredited to QB Chuck Wright's outstanding play, but the most important play came with only :20 seconds to go, where Wright found WR Travis Hunter in the end zone for the game-winning score. The Haymakers are looking to carry momentum into the end of the season and it starts here with the win over the Bloomington Edge on Saturday. Head Coach Cory Ross is making a few roster adjustments for this upcoming game, but don't expect any changes out of the ordinary. The Edge come in on a 2 game winning streak, including a 52-43 win over the Sioux City Bandits last weekend.

This game will surely make an impact on whether or not the Haymakers make the playoffs this year, so come out and show your support for the Haymakers!
