Haymakers Close Home Season Schedule with Rivalry Game in Historic Pershing Center

May 13, 2014 - Champions Professional Indoor Football League (CPIFL)
Lincoln Haymakers News Release

Lincoln, NE - The Lincoln Haymakers will take on the rival Omaha Beef this Friday May 16th inside the Pershing Center at 7:05pm. The Haymakers are currently seated 5th overall in the league with the top 4 teams making the playoffs. A win against the Beef would sweep the regular season series between the two teams and position the Haymakers to make a late season run at the playoffs. The home regular season finale will be sponsored by Husker Auto Group and Pepsi.

Head Coach Cory Ross' team has shown amazing versatility this season behind the leadership of veteran Quarterback Chuck Wright. Wright has catapulted Lincoln's Offensive production putting the Haymakers on the playoff hunt. 2013 League All Star Wide-out Nick Rhodes is turning heads in the league and grabbing attention from higher leagues as well with his standout season so far. Lincoln's defensive unit has the number one pass defense with former Husker Josh Bullocks coordinating the unit.

With the top two CPIFL playoff spots seemingly set with Wichita and Sioux City, Friday night could realistically be Lincoln's last home game in the Historic Pershing Center. With this in mind the stage is set for Friday night's game to be epic. An in-state rivalry game with playoff contention on the line and a historic building coming to a close makes Friday night's game a must see event.

Tickets can be purchased at the Pinnacle Bank Arena Box office or at the Pershing before Kickoff. Visit Boarders Inn and Suites, The Hylander Bar and Grill, and Down the Hatch to receive special offers on tickets! Follow your Haymakers all season long on Facebook, Twitter, and lincolnhaymakers.com.
