Hayes Scores Twice, Adds Assist as Petes Take Game One Over Wolves

(Peterborough, ON) - On Thursday, March 30, the Peterborough Petes began round one of their 2023 OHL Playoff matchup against the Sudbury Wolves at the PMC. The Petes beat the Wolves by a score of 4-2, taking a 1-0 lead in the series.
Avery Hayes led the way for the Petes with two goals and one assist, while Jonathan Melee also scored two goals. Brennan Othmann, Sam Mayer, and Owen Beck all picked up an assist in the win. Michael Simpson stopped 26/28 for his first career playoff win.

The Petes are back in action tomorrow night at the PMC for game two against the Sudbury Wolves. Tickets are limited, so fans are encouraged to act fast in order to secure their seats.
