Hawks Announce Playoff Dates

Waterloo, Iowa-It may be nearly two weeks before the Waterloo Black Hawks know who they will play during the first round of the Clark Cup Playoffs, but on Monday the team announced that the postseason will begin on home ice Friday, April 11th.

Last weekend, the Hawks clinched home ice advantage for the first round, best-of-five series. Games One, Two, and Five (if necessary) will be played at Young Arena in Waterloo. Game Three and Game Four (if necessary) will be played on the road against the Sioux Falls Stampede, Sioux City Musketeers, or Omaha Lancers. The opponent will depend on the final order of finish in the USHL Western Conference.

Game Five: Young Arena, Tuesday, April 22nd 7:05 p.m. (if necessary)

"In September and October as the season begins, everyone is looking forward to this time of year," said Black Hawks Vice President of Operations Mike Falk. "The team has played well all throughout the winter and put themselves in great position for the exciting weeks ahead. This is the time of year to be at the rink, not reading about what's happening on Twitter or in text messages from your friends who are at the game."

Complete playoff packages are still available, ensuring your seats for every home game while also providing savings on each ticket compared with single game rates. Playoff package order forms must be turned in by the end of this Saturday's game against the Sioux Falls Stampede. Fans who complete and return their forms by this Thursday at noon will be able to pick up their first round playoff tickets during home games this weekend on Friday and Saturday.

Single game tickets for Games One and Two of the first round series will go on sale beginning at noon next Wednesday, April 2nd. Individual tickets for Game Five will be offered after it is determined that game will be necessary. Single game rates in the first round are: Gold Zone $20, Red Zone $17, White Zone $15, Blue Zone $13. Students, seniors, and active military members save $1 per ticket. Each ticket ordered on game day is subject to a $1 day-of-game fee, except in the Gold Zone. Semifinal and championship round ticket prices will be announced at a later date, if necessary.

Playoff group rates are also available for parties of 15 or more. Standard adult group pricing will apply in the postseason as follows, per ticket: Gold Zone $17, Red Zone $13, White Zone $11, Blue Zone $9. To reserve a block of group seats, call the Black Hawks front office at (319) 232-3444.
