Harrisburg Heat News Release
HARRISBURG, Pa., Nov. 25 2013 - For the second straight game, Kenneth Fultz posted three goals, but alas those scores were not enough as the Harrisburg Heat fell 10-7 to the Cleveland Freeze Saturday at the Equine Arena in the State Farm Show Complex & Expo Center.
Fultz, a second-year midfielder out of Central Dauphin High School and Slippery Rock University, now has a team-leading six goals - three times his output from last season, when he totaled two goals and an assist in 11 games for the Heat. Fultz needed only 10 shots to score those six goals against Detroit on Nov. 16 and Cleveland on Saturday.
Fultz's hat trick against Cleveland was the ninth in the Heat's season-plus in the Professional Arena Soccer League, but the first back-to-back, three-goal games by the same player.
The loss to Cleveland (3-1) was the third straight for the Heat (1-3), who play the Cincinnati Saints in their next game on Saturday, Nov. 30, at the Equine Arena. Kickoff is 7:05 p.m.
REMEMBER ME?
Mark Pulisic, the all-time leading scorer for the original Heat, will be honored before Saturday's game against Cincinnati. Pulisic joined the Heat out of George Mason University in 1991 and retired in 1999 with franchise bests in goals at 296 and points with 689. During his time with the Heat, Pulisic began coaching in the offseason and started both the men's and women's soccer teams at Lebanon Valley College.
PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT
The Heat will hold training sessions this week from 9-11 p.m. on Tuesday at Sports City Harrisburg, 4141 Linglestown Road, and 8-10 p.m. Friday at the Equine Arena. As always, the sessions are open to the media with head coach Richard Chinapoo and the players available for interviews before and after the sessions.
FREE STUFF
Rally towels for the first 1,000 fans this Saturday. Also halftime features the always-entertaining mascot game.
NUMBER CRUNCHING
With three blocks against Cleveland, second-year defender Brad Kerstetter (Halifax High, Seton Hall University) became the team's all-time leading shot blocker with 15 in 19 games since the Heat returned last season.
