Harlem Strong Dogs concludes initial tryout

The Harlem Strong Dogs first professional basketball team tryouts for the upcoming 2005-06 American Basketball Association (ABA) season was filled with action. Dozens of registered participants attempted to exhibit their skills, talents and wherewithal in front of General Manager and Head Coach Kenny Charles and his coaching staff trying to prove they are able to play basketball on a professional level.

Entering his seventh consecutive season of leading a professional basketball team, Coach Charles' required the participants to perform the bevy of different drills, schemes and plays he is accustomed to. Coach Charles and staff were able to carefully evaluate the players' performance to determine who had a chance of making the team.

By the end of the two day session, over a dozen competitors have been invited back to training camp in October for another look before finalizing the roster for the opening game in November.
