Hargrove joins Lions ownership group

COLUMBUS, Ga. -- The Columbus Lions have welcomed John T. Hargrove to the ownership group of the World Indoor Football League franchise.

Hargrove is a retired Johnson and Johnson executive with over 30 years of Healthcare experience primarily in sales, marketing and corporate account management. The majority of his healthcare experience was spent with J&J's operating companies Ethicon, Ethicon Endo-Surgery and Johnson and Johnson Health Care Systems where he was responsible for the Corporate Account Management Division.

A University of Georgia graduate with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Marketing, Hargrove completed executive management programs at Duke, Harvard, and the University of Michigan.

Hargrove is a member of the Partners in Education Board, the Columbus Sports Council Board, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes Board and the Advisory Board for The University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) School of Allied Sciences.

He joins several other Columbus area residents dedicated to the success of a "family focused" indoor football experience.

"John is a perfect fit in the Lions' owner group,'' said Lions owner Zack McDonald. "With John onboard, our chances for long-term success are that much greater especially with his experience in strategic planning and implementation."

The Lions make their debut February 26 on the road against the Daytona Beach Thunder.
