HUNTSVILLE, AL - The Alabama Hammers will hit the road for the second week in a row as they travel to face the Knoxville Nighthawks Saturday night at the Knoxville Civic Coliseum. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. EST and the game can be heard live on Fun 92.7 FM, Fun927.com or just click on the Fun 92.7 link at alabamahammers.com.

The Hammers fell to 2-4 on the season after last week's 62-53 loss to the the Albany Panthers, the Professional Indoor Football League's only undefeated team. Despite jumping out to an early14-10 first quarter lead, the Hammers were unable to hold off the leagues top ranked team.
Alabama quarterback Arvell Nelson continues to play well on the season, completing 17-of-25 passes for 246 yards and six touchdowns while throwing just one interception in last week's loss. He currently ranks second in the PIFL with 212.3 yards passing per game and with 29 touchdowns on the season.
Wide receiver Mico McSwain, who caught nine passes for 140 yards and three touchwons, ranks second in the league with 94.2 receiving yards per game and leads the league with 124.4 yards of total offense.
The Nighthawks (0-6), come in having lost their first six games of the season and currently rank last in the league in scoring offense (32.2), scoring defense (66.0), passing offense (194.5), and total offense (209.7).
The Hammers defeated the Nighthawks earlier this season by a score of 62-25 at the VBC.
