Jupiter Hammerheads News Release
JUPITER, Fla. - The second game of tonight's doubleheader between the Jupiter Hammerheads and the St. Lucie Mets has been suspended due to inclement weather. The game will be resumed Thursday, August 4th at 5:05 p.m., to be followed by a seven-inning game.
Tonight's game was suspended in the middle of the 3rd inning, with Jupiter leading 1-0 after scoring a run on four hits in the 2nd frame. St. Lucie took Game 1 of the scheduled doubleheader, scoring five runs in the 6th inning for a 6-1 win.
Thirty minutes after the completion of the suspended game, the teams will play seven innings with Jupiter's Opening Day starter Rob Rasmussen scheduled to face off against the Mets' 27th-rated prospect Kyle Allen. The resumption will make an extra special edition of Thirsty Thursdays at Roger Dean Stadium, when fans can enjoy $2 draft domestic beers and sodas.
