
Hammerheads Lose In Extra Frames

Jupiter Hammerheads News Release
JUPITER, FL - For the second consecutive night, the Hammerheads lost to the Tampa Yankees in extra innings. Last night they lost 3-2 in 14 innings and this afternoon, Jupiter lost 2-1 in 11 innings. Jason Talbott (0-1) got the loss, pitching the 11th inning and giving up one run on two hits. Josh Schmidt (1-2) picked up the win after throwing 3.0 innings of no hit baseball.
The Hammerheads took the lead in the third inning when Juan Gonzalez scored Jai Miller. The Yankees tied it up in the top half of the 4th when Matt Carson hit a homerun to left field.
The second half of this four game series resumes tomorrow night at Roger Dean Stadium at 7:05. Trevor Hutchinson (0-1, 9.30) will make his second start of the season, and the Yankees will counter with Phil Coke (0-1, 1.74).
