JUPITER -- The Jupiter Hammerheads rode a seven-run fifth inning to a 10-1 defeat of the Fort Myers Miracle in the opener of the final series of the regular season.

Tom Koehler (4-1) was terrific for the hosts in picking up his fourth victory in the Florida State League this season. The right-hander limited his opponent to just one unearned run on seven hits, with one walk and six strikeouts. Lefty Andy Loomis made his FSL debut and threw a scoreless ninth despite one hit and two walks.

Mike Tarsi (3-4) surrendered five earned on seven hits in four and one- third innings. He walked one and struck out five. Matt Williams, who hadn't worked in almost a week, gave up four earned in one and two- third, allowing two homers, and Blair Erickson allowed one run in two innings.

Brandon Tripp and Hunter Mense each contributed two-run homers for the victorious hosts. As for Fort Myers, Deibinson Romero and Chris Cates were the only Miracle players with multi-hit games. Revere was 1- for-4, keeping him, at .311, two percentage points behind Logan Schafer's .313 average. Brevard County's scheduled game was rained out on Friday night.

The Miracle and Hammerheads will play on Saturday at 6:05 p.m.
