Wilmington Hammerheads FC News Release
Wilmington, NC - Wilmington Hammerheads FC are pleased to announce the recent signing of Mark-Anthony Kaye for the remainder of the USL PRO regular season. The 19-year-old joins the Hammerheads by way of their affiliate partnership with Major League Soccer's Toronto FC.
"Mark-Anthony is a player that has been with us in training for several weeks," said Wilmington Hammerheads FC Technical Director Carson Porter. "He has been brought through the youth system at Toronto FC and we are excited to give him his first opportunity as a professional."
Kaye, who is currently traveling with the team in California, is set to make his professional debut in the Hammerheads starting lineup on Saturday, August 23 versus Orange County Blues FC at Anteater Stadium.
"This trip is a great chance for a player like Mark-Anthony to step into the lineup and contribute," said Porter. "We need every player who is with us to perform in these next two days. He has shown very well thus far and we are excited to see him tomorrow night [August 28]."
