(Nashua, NH, June 28, 2006) Nashua Pride lefthander Mark Hamilton tossed a complete game three-hitter on Wednesday night as the Pride (12-19) snapped their five-game losing streak with an 8-1 victory over the Worcester Tornadoes (18-13) before 1,234 at Historic Holman Stadium.

Hamilton (3-3) walked three and struck out seven in his first complete game effort of the season. The only run he surrendered came in the third when Lucas Taylor's double plated Jeff Lahair who opened the inning with a single.

Nashua tied the game in the bottom of the third as James Lofton started the inning with a double, went to third on a single by Ricardo Cordova and scored on a sacrifice fly by Glenn Murray. The Pride broke things open in the fourth, scoring six runs. The inning was capped by a Murray three-run homer, his third of the season. Murray's blast ended the evening for Worcester starter Reid Willett (2-2) who was charged with seven earned runs over three and two-thirds innings. Sean Dobson, Tom Creighton and Elliot Shea also provided RBI's for Nashua in the fourth inning. Shea, the former Franklin Pierce College star from Jaffrey, New Hampshire, had two hits and scored two runs for the Pride. He doubled to leadoff the sixth inning and eventually came across on a Worcester error to complete the Nashua scoring.

The Pride and the Tornadoes will complete their four-game series on Thursday evening at 7:05. Nashua will start lefthander Vincent Davis. Worcester will counter with righthander Alex Pena.
