After finishing week three of the American Hockey League's 2012-2013 regular season with a 1-1-1-0 record, the Hamilton Bulldogs will play two games in week four. On Friday, the Hamilton Bulldogs will travel to Blue Cross Arena in Rochester, New York to open a home-and-home series with the Americans. On Saturday, the Bulldogs will return to Copps Coliseum in Hamilton for the finale of the two-game set with the Americans. Saturday's contest will air live on Sportsnet One (English) and on TVA Sports (French).

The Hamilton Bulldogs were defeated Rochester Americans 3-1 on Tuesday, October 23rd 2012 at First Niagara Center in Buffalo, New York. Michael Bournival scored the lone goal for Hamilton, recording his first professional goal on a pass from fellow rookie Patrick Holland. Cody Hodgson notched his first goal of the season, which was the game-winner.

Facing each other for the third time in eight days, the Hamilton picked up a point in a 5-4 overtime loss to Toronto. Simon Gysbers scored the game-winning goal with 55 seconds left in OT. Brendan Gallagher recorded his first professional goal, an assist and a team season-high 10 shots, while Frederic St-Denis and Michael Blunden both recorded their first goals of the season.

Hamilton defeated Abbotsford 2-1 on Sunday evening to snap a three-game losing streak, start a two-game point streak and improve to 3-2-1-0 on the season. Entering the game, Abbotsford was the only AHL without a regulation loss, with a six-game point streak (4-0-0-2) to start the season. The Heat took a 1-0 lead on Roman Horak's league-co-leading seventh goal in seven games this season before the Bulldogs drew even on Blake Geoffrion's second goal of the season. Aaron Palushaj then notched his team-leading third tally of the season, which turned out to be the game-winner. Palushaj's goal, scored on a Bulldogs' power play, snapped the Heat's streak of 26-straight successful penalty kills to start the season. Greg Pateryn registered his first professional point with an assist on Geoffrion's goal. Robert Mayer made 28 saves for the victory.
