
Anthony Nigro Recalled from Evansville

Peoria Rivermen General Manager Kevin McDonald announced today that the St. Louis Blues have reassigned forward Anthony Nigro from the Rivermen ECHL affiliate, the Evansville IceMen.
Nigro, 22, joined the IceMen on Oct. 24 and appeared in three games last week. He did not record a point and registered six shots on goal. He has yet to appear in a regular season game with Peoria this season following an injury during a preseason contest on Oct. 1. The third-year pro has appeared in 129 games in his career, all with Peoria, and has accumulated 22 goals and 18 assists for 40 points along with 58 penalty minutes.
Last season, Nigro set a career-high in goals (13), assists (12) and points (25) over the course of 75 games. The Woodbridge, ON native was originally selected by the Blues in the sixth round (#155 overall) of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.
