Gwizzlies to kick off season with a weekend of festivities

ABA GWINNETT GWIZZLIES Kick off their fall basketball season with a celebration weekend of festivities. First, their training camp and Media Day will be held on Friday, October 29th at Life University Basketball Arena, in Marietta, Georgia, beginning at 12:00 noon. The franchise will introduce the Coaches, team and other Gwizzlies personnel, including their newly elected dance team, The Sugar Bears. Life University is at 1269 Barclay Circle, Marietta, Georgia. That same evening the Gwinnett Gwizzlies Fan Club will host a celebration party at the popular local hip-hop mega-club, the Atrium, on Memorial Drive. The public is invited to come on out and celebrate Halloween at our kick-off party and come and meet our ballplayers. Prizes will be awarded for best costumes.

Then on Saturday, October 30th, the Gwizzlies' ballplayers will visit Gwinnett Place Mall and the Mall of Georgia. The Gwizzlies celebration weekend will culminate on Sunday, October 31st, at the Historic Ebenezer Baptist church and observance at the Martin Luther King Jr Center.

The ABA basketball season starts on November 15 and concludes in mid-March. www.gwizzlies.com.
