October 13, 2004 - American Basketball Association (ABA)
Atlanta Vision News Release

Former Georgia Tech All American basketball player, Brook Steppe, will host a training camp/media day for his brand new American Basketball Association team, THE GWINNETT GWIZZLIES, on Friday, October 29th at Life University 12 noon to 2 pm. Himself a first round NBA draft pick in 1982, Steppe played five years in the NBA and later went on to be Head basketball coach at Kennesaw State University.

On Friday, October 29th the entire team and coaches will be available to meet the press, give an exhibition and sign autographs during this training camp/media day event.

Then, later that evening the coaches and team members will celebrate the beginning of their inaugural appearance into the ABA with an all-out Halloween bash at the mega club, The Atrium, on Memorial Drive. The evening party at the Atrium starts at 7 pm and will last until late that evening. The public is invited as we get this party started, and get this season started.

Note: OurSports Central no longer actively covers the American Basketball Association (ABA) as a professional league due in part to its inability to publish and play a schedule and the transitory nature of many of its teams. For information on professional minor leagues, please see OSC's basketball section.
