Gwinnett's Patton Presented Ticket Sales Award of Excellence

PRINCETON, N.J. - The ECHL announced on Monday that Rob Patton, who is the Director of Ticket Operations for the Gwinnett Gladiators, has been chosen to receive the ECHL Award of Excellence for Ticket Sales.

The award was announced at the annual ECHL Marketing and Communications Meetings, which were held June 6-8 in Las Vegas and attended by more than 160 representatives from ECHL teams. The winner is chosen in a vote of league general managers and ticketing managers.

Gwinnett increased its regular season attendance by more than 20 percent from 2003-04 and ranked second in the league with 6,045 per game. The Gladiators had team record sellout crowds of 11,355 on November 5 and February 5 and drew 10,258 on November 19 and 8,586 on October 29. The sellout crowds were the second and third largest crowds of the season and the Gladiators had five of the 15 largest crowds in the ECHL in 2004-05.

As the director of ticket operations for the Gladiators, Patton is responsible for all season and group ticket sales. A graduate of East Stroudsburg University, Patton has worked 15 years in sports ticketing.
