April 18, 2010 - World Basketball Association (WBA)
Gwinnett Majic News Release
The Gwinnett Majic have signed a trio of players for the upcoming 2010 season, inking former Tennessee Tech standout Frank Davis and ex-Georgia Bulldogs Albert Jackson and Tyler Whatley.
Davis led the nation in 3-point percentage in Division 1 among seniors. Check out this highlight reel that his college coach put together for the 3-point contest at The Final Four. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kPniJzeNM18
Jackson brings size to the table for the Majic, standing 6-foot-11 and weighing 265 pounds. With our returning squad from the 2009 Championship team and Jackson's size, it will be tough on the rest of the WBA. Jackson attended Oak Hill (Va.) Academy and finished four years at UGA.
Whatley is another local product for the Majic's roster, having attended Apalachee High School and Wofford before finishing at UGA.
The rest of our 2010 roster will be announced Thursday at www.gwinnettmajic.com. Our first game is May 14 at either Berkmar High or Archer High at 7 p.m. The venue will be announced in the next few days.
