CEDAR RAPIDS, IA - December 6, 2016 - For the third straight week and for the fourth time in six weeks Cedar Rapids Rampage midfielder Gordy Gurson was selected to the MASL's Team of the Week honoring the top performances around the league.

Gurson had his best week of the season, netting six goals in two road victories. On Friday he scored four times including the tying and game-winning goals in the Rampage's 6-5 win in Syracuse. The next night he scored a bicycle kick goal and the sudden death game-winner in a 3-2 win in Harrisburg.

Cedar Rapids has now won four straight games and is in a virtual tie with the 4-1 Chicago Mustangs for first place in the Central Division with a 5-2 record. The Rampage only won five games all season last year as an expansion team, going 5-15.

"I love playing with these guys," said Gurson. "We work hard as a group and never give up." Indeed, in four wins this year the Rampage rallied from 2-0 deficits, including Saturday's game.

The Rampage return home Saturday to host the Kansas City Comets at 7:05pm. The Rampage beat the Comets for the first time on October 29, 5-3. Tickets are available online at Ticketmaster.com and at the US Cellular Center box office, starting at just $9.
