
"Guns and Hoses" to play on Saturday

Rockford, Ill.- The Rockford IceHogs, proud members of the United Hockey League, will host the Third Annual Guns and Hoses game on Saturday, April 3 before the IceHogs take on the Kalamazoo Wings. The game features the Rockford area Police Officers against the Rockford area Firefighters.
The puck will drop for the Guns and Hoses game at 4:30 p.m. and doors will open at 4:15 p.m. Fans who already have tickets for the IceHogs-Wings game that begins at 7:05 p.m., can use those tickets for the annual game. Fans can prepurchase tickets through the IceHogs office(815-986-6465) for the Guns and Hoses and IceHogs game up until Friday, April 2. A portion of the proceeds from all prepurchased tickets through the IceHogs office will benefit the Rockford Fire Police Chaplains Division. After Friday, tickets can be purchased at CentreEvents tickets outlets for the games.
The winner of the annual game will receive the Kevin Rice Memorial Cup. Rice, a former Rockford Police Officer, was killed addressing a domestic dispute while off duty. The Firefighters have claimed the first two Kevin Rice Memorial Cups. The winning team will receive the award during the intermission of the IceHogs game later that night.
Also, the first 1,000 fans to the game on Saturday will receive an IceHogs Floppy Hat courtesy of Lonnie's Carpet Max, Q98.5 FM and 23 WIFR. For ticket information, call the MetroCentre Box Office at (815) 968-5222 or stop by the MetroCentre Box Office. Tickets start at just $7 and are good for both games.
Next Home Game: Wednesday, March 31 vs. Muskegon Fury. Game time is 7:05 p.m. The Hogs and Fury match-up for one final time during the 2003-04 regular season. Wednesday is also the final WXRX $1 Beer Night with the Hogs and the Rock Station 104.9.
