SAN DIEGO â The San Diego Gulls attempt to snap a two-game losing streak and hand the Bakersfield Condors their first loss in regulation when the two West Division rivals meet tonight at the Sports Arena.
SERIES HISTORY:
The Gulls and Condors have met twice so far this season with Bakersfield holding a 2-0-0 series edge. The two teams will clash six more times during the regular season. San Diego and Bakersfield met 10 times last season with the Gulls holding a 9-1-0 edge.

San Diego owns the all-time series match-up, posting an 85-18-5 record against its West Division rival. The Gulls are 45-6-2 all-time against the Condors at the Sports Arena.
LAST HEAD-TO-HEAD MEETING (NOV. 13 @ BAK):
Bakersfield scored three power-play goals and former Gulls Ashlee Langdone and Kevin St. Jacques each chipped in with two points en route to a 4-1 win over the Gulls. It was a 1-1 game before Langdone netted what proved to be the game-winner 7:41 into the second period. Brad Mehalko made it 3-1 later in the second and added an empty-netter to seal it. Randy Petruk was rock-solid in net, turning aside 27 of San Diego's 28 shots.
GULLS UPDATE:
The Gulls (4-4-1) have lost two straight (both to Bakersfield) and enter the day tied for fifth in the West Division, six points behind the front-running Condors... San Diego is 3-0-0 at home this season, but just 1-4-1 on the road... The Blue and Orange have scored 22 goals in their four wins, but just five goals in their five losses (which includes one shootout loss)... San Diego is allowing an average of 35.44 shots per game, fifth most in the ECHL... After playing in Fresno on Saturday, the Gulls will open a nine-game homestand....
OTHER NOTES:
NHL Veteran Curtis Brown signed with the Gulls yesterday. He has 256 points (111g, 145a) in 554 career games in the NHL. Brown is not expected to play tonight, but should be available Saturday... Darren Clark is riding a career-high eight-game point streak, which is second longest in the ECHL. He leads the Gulls with 12 points overall, tied for ninth in the league... Trevor Koenig is fifth in the ECHL with 229 saves... Sylvain Deschatelets, who hasn't played yet this season, is expected to return to the lineup on Saturday...
BAKERSFIELD UPDATE:
Bakersfield (7-0-1) begins the day first in the West Division with 15 points, one ahead of the Idaho Steelheads... The Condors and Johnstown Chiefs (4-0-5) are the two remaining teams in the ECHL to not have lost in regulation... Bakersfield leads the league with a 35.1 power play percentage... The Condors are averaging 4.38 goals per game, also tops in the ECHL... Five players are tied for the team lead with nine points: Connor James, Lars-Peder Nagel, Mike Hofstrand, Guy Dupuis and Luis Tremblay...
TRANSACTIONS:
Trent Clark and Stephane St. Amour signed today... With Mathieu Chouinard still on the injured list, Jared Saron signed again as the emergency back-up goaltender... Brown officially signed yesterday... Brian Gornick was placed on the seven-day injured list on Sunday with a knee injury... Chris Lynch was acquired from the Reading Royals on Saturday... Billy Tibbetts was released on Friday... Sean O'Connor remains with the American Hockey League's Cincinnati Mighty Ducks...
