LONG BEACH, CA - Dennis Rodman has rejoined the Long Beach Jam of the American Basketball Association (ABA). The Jam host the ABA championship game March 9 at 7:30 p.m. Rodman was on the Jam roster for 11 games.

"My original plan was to attend the game as a fan," Rodman said. "But I am in 100 percent basketball shape and realize that I am in the unique position to be the first player ever to win an ABA and NBA championship in the same season."

Rodman is being pursued by a handful of NBA clubs and says the best way for him to showcase his basketball skills is against the best the ABA has to offer.

"I am excited for this opportunity for Dennis as a friend and as a fan of basketball," Darren Prince, Rodman's agent said. "As his agent, I'm looking forward to general managers and scouts from the NBA seeing for themselves that Dennis is finally ready for his long awaited-comeback to the NBA."

Rodman is taking the roster position of Jannero Pargo, who recently signed with the Toronto Raptors. During his time with the team, Rodman's presence as a mentor for the younger players was invaluable.

"Our experience with Dennis earlier this season was all we could ask for," Jam President Steve Chase said. "The knowledge he brings to our young players from a competitive standpoint puts us in a great position to win an ABA title. This will be a great opportunity for the fans in Long Beach to see Rodman play one more ABA game before continuing his career in the NBA."

The first 500 children in attendance under 14 years of age will receive a free Rodman Jam T-Shirt.

Championship game tickets are on sale now and available for purchase by visiting the Long Beach State Pyramid box office, or by phone at 562-985-4949 and 888-4-JAM-TIX. Prices range from $5 for students, senior citizens and military, to $10-15 for reserved seating.
