Saginaw Spirit News Release
Saginaw, Mich. - The Saginaw Spirit Charitable Foundation is pleased to announce the second season of the Guardians of the Ice Poster Auction. In a partnership with Huntington National Bank, the poster auction set for Saginaw's March 8th game against the Kingston Frontenacs will fund scholarships for youth hockey players in the Great Lakes Bay Region.
Players ages 18 and under who play in the Bay County Hockey Association, Greater Saginaw Amateur Hockey Association, and Midland Amateur Hockey League will be eligible. The first round of the scholarship saw $4,750 awarded to the area's youth hockey players in the 2023-24 season.
Along with the individual Guardians of the Ice posters, auction winners will also receive a signed stick from the poster's corresponding player. Funds generated from Friday night's poster auction will benefit the 2024-2025 scholarship fund.
Applications for next season's scholarship will open later this summer, and more information will become available at saginawspirit.com.
