Fayetteville Guard News Release
Fayetteville, NC --- The Fayetteville Guard took part in ACES (All Children Exercise Simultaneously) May 4, 2005. Veteran NIFL player, Al Wilson visited William H. Owen and Loyd E. Auman Elementary Schools to demonstrate the physique achievable with exercise.
Project ACES takes place on the first Wednesday in May as part of National Physical Fitness and Sports Month along with National Physical Education Week. The media has labelled it as "the world's largest exercise class." Since 1989, millions of children from all over the world exercise together to promote proper health and fitness habits.
"Exercise is very important to health and longevity, and with today's video game society projects like this are important," said the Guard linebacker. "Visiting the schools is a good way for the children to see results of healthy eating and proper exercise."
Fayetteville Guard players visit schools regularly to promote the importance of education, an active lifestyle, discipline and being good stewards of the community. Next week Guard members will be in several schools pepping up students for the end of grade testing and proctoring those tests.
