
Grilled Cheese Chicken Sandwich Wins Fans' Choice Food Fight

GRAND CHUTE, WI - The first Fans' Choice Food Fight held by the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers has come to an end with the Grilled Cheese Chicken Sandwich winning over four other finalists. The creation of Mike Zaves will be added to the 2016 concession menu at Neuroscience Group Field at Fox Cities Stadium.
The sandwich places golden brown chicken tenders and crispy bacon between melted American cheese and grilled to perfection. It also comes with lettuce, tomato and onion and is served with a side of Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce.
Zaves will receive four tickets to the 2016 home opener on April 9 against the Beloit Snappers, a ceremonial first pitch before the game, and four vouchers for the Grilled Cheese Chicken Sandwich.
The winning sandwich collected 34% of the votes cast between February 23 and March 1. The final vote percentages were:
Grilled Cheese Chicken Sandwich: 34%
The Cheesehead: 26%
Loaded Tater Tot Nachos: 20%
Pork Donut: 12%
Glazed Donut Burger: 8%
The Timber Rattlers will begin the 2016 season at Beloit on Thursday, April 7. Wisconsin's home opener is Saturday, April 9 at 4:05pm against the Beloit Snappers. The home opener will be the first chance fans will have to try the Grilled Cheese Chicken Sandwich and many of the other new concessions items at the ballpark.
Full season, partial season, and group ticket packages are currently available for the 2016 season. Tickets packages are available online, over the phone at (920) 733-4152 or (800) WI-TIMBER and in person. Groups of 20 or more may order tickets over the phone or in person. Individual game tickets for the 2016 season go on sale Saturday, March 12. The Neuroscience Group Field at Fox Cities Stadium Box Office is open from 9:00 am until 5:00 pm Monday through Friday.
