
Griffith Is Back in the Pond with the Walleye

(Toledo, OH) - The Toledo Walleye announced today that forward Todd Griffith has agreed to terms for the 2012-13 season.
Griffith landed in Toledo in late January thanks to a trade with the Reading Royals. The native of Welland, Ontario finished the season with the Walleye, appearing in 24 games and compiling 21 points (12g, 9a) and 56 penalty minutes. Todd collected 8 points (5g, 3a) in 10 games with the Royals.
"Todd brings energy, toughness, and offense," said head coach Nick Vitucci. "We really liked what we saw from him during the final two months of last year. He has produced at every level he has played at."
Todd has played in 291 professional games over the course of his six-year career. In that time he has scored 125 goals with 109 assists and 622 penalty minutes. His ECHL totals are impressive, with 140 games played between five teams (Bakersfield, Johnstown, South Carolina, Reading and Toledo), collecting 121 points (72g, 49a).
Before turning professional in 2006-07, Griffith played his junior career in the OHL. He scored 79 goals with 66 assists in four years.
The Toledo Walleye will open the 2012-13 regular season on Saturday, October 13th at home against the Division Rival Kalamazoo Wings. 2012-13 Season tickets are on sale now online at www.toledowalleye.com, or by phone at (419) 725-9255.
