Gridin, Byfuglien and Urban Selected for League Honors

Matvei Gridin (Muskegon), Thor Byfuglien (Chicago) and Samuel Urban (Sioux City) have earned United States Hockey League (USHL) Player of the Week honors for Week 17, the league announced Monday.

Birth Year: 2006

2 GP, 3 goals, 1 assist, 4 points, 5 shots on goal, +2 plus-minus rating, 1 game-winning goal

Helped lead Muskegon to a 2-0-0-0 record last week

Scored twice and had the game-winning goal in 3-0 victory at Omaha last Friday

Had a goal and assisted on GWG in 6-5 win over the Lancers Saturday

Stands tied for second in the USHL in scoring with 41 points on 18 goals and 23 assists

Had the game-winning goal and an assist in a 4-3 win at the USA Hockey U17s last Friday

Had two assists in a 6-5 win over the USA Hockey U18s Saturday

Stopped 16 shots in a 3-2 shootout win over Tri-City Saturday. Stopped all three shots in the shootout

Has gone 4-0-0-0 with a 2.42 goals against average and a .900 save percentage in last four appearances
