Ohio Valley Greyhounds News Release

The Ohio Valley Greyhounds announced today the launching of their new website and new web address at www.ovhounds.com. This new website was graphical designed by Infinity Pro Sports, a national sports website designer who has designed hundreds of sports websites around the county at the college and professional level in a wide variety of sports.

The website has a new look and feel different from anything that the Hounds have had before. Greyhound fans and Media will be able to access the latest Greyhound news, press releases, and league standings. For those that want to "Meet the Hounds" there are pages profiling the coaches, front office staff, all of the players and their bios, the Greyhound Girls Cheerleaders, and even "Blitz" the Mascot. Information is available for Greyhound season tickets, Group tickets, and single game tickets, as well as a WesBanco Arena seating chart and directions to the Arena.

For those Hounds fans, who want to know everything about their team, there are sections with information about the Hound booster club, a photo gallery showcasing Hound activity, info on past Greyhound teams, Greyhound merchandise, Greyhound Corporate sponsors and how to become a Corporate Sponsor, franchise history and current and past team & individual statistics and records. There are also direct links to the websites of all the other teams in the United Indoor Football (UIF) team and the UIF league site, and a page giving contact information to the front office and coaching staff. The site even has a Message Board that will allow fans to communicate with each other about their favorite Hound topic.

"I am really pleased to be launching this comprehensive website today for use by our loyal fans, media, and sports enthusiasts throughout the Ohio Valley and around the world", said Lou Stein, Greyhound owner. "While this site still has a lot of content to be uploaded over the next few weeks prior to the beginning of the 2007 season, there is currently important information available about the 2007 Greyhound players, schedule, our lacrosse partnership with area high schools and colleges, our front office and coaching staff, and our fan-friendly message board" Stein continued. "We will be populating this site with a lot of new information in the coming weeks and we will be looking to hear from our great fans about features they would like to see in the future. We will also provide real time streaming of our games so fans, friends, and family all over the world will be able to follow the hounds throughout the 2007 season. The players, coaching staff, and management are looking forward to a terrific season both on and off the field for 2007, and this new website will keep everyone informed about the excitement" added Stein.

The new website is being updated and serviced locally by Michael Spry of ohiovalleynow.com, a local web internet company that has built a very large comprehensive website filled with information and data geared around the businesses, citizens, and communities of the entire Ohio Valley region. The ohiovalleynow.com site and the ovhounds.com site will have direct links to each other.

"I am excited for our ballplayers about the launching of this website" said Coach Ervin Bryson, Greyhounds Head Coach. "This will really serve as a great recruiting tool for the players to have their information and accomplishments available to teams in the Arena 1 league, the Canadian League and the NFL to help them move up to the next level. Our ballplayers this year come from all over the county, and they have told me they are very excited that their family and friend from back home will be able to listen to the games and follow their careers. This site will also serve as a great recruiting tool for our coaching staff, added Bryson.

Training camp for the Greyhounds begins March 9, 2007. The Greyhounds 9th season opens Saturday March 24, 2006 with a Home Opener against the Lexington Horsemen at WesBanco Arena in Wheeling with kickoff at 7:00 pm.

The Greyhound organization has announced that at all home games this year, all Greyhound ticket holders will be welcome Free of Charge to attend a Collegiate or High School Indoor Lacrosse match which will take place from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm at WesBanco Arena prior to each Hound home game. Lacrosse has become the fastest growing sport in the country today and like indoor football is a phenomenal spectator sport. Speed, skill, strength and toughness are just a few of the qualities that make this sport the fastest game on two feet. Indoor Lacrosse is filled with amazing passes, bruising hits, outstanding goaltending, stunning passing, and poetic grace and agility.

After the Lacrosse game ends at 5:30, fans can view the Greyhounds and the opposing team goes through their warm-ups prior to kick-off. Also the Arena vestibule will feature activities for the entire family including top-notch, live entertainment from around the region, a pre-game pep rally, fun play activities for the kids, face painting for adults & children, photo-ops with Blitz the Mascot and other special guests, and lots of unannounced surprises prior to the 7:00 pm Greyhounds kick-off.

New season tickets are now on sale for all 7 home games and may be purchased by check, money order, or credit card. Season tickets may be purchased at the: WesBanco Arena Box Office - 2 Fourteenth Street - Wheeling, WV (304) 233-4470

The Greyhound office is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 am. to 5:00 pm and may be reached by calling (304) 232-1918 for additional information.
