The defending NIFL Champion Ohio Valley Greyhounds announce the signing of Andrew Webb. Webb is a 6'2 â 210 pound Qb from Ft. Lewis St. Andy is the all time leading passer in Division II history.
⢠CAREER: Four-year letterwinner and starter at quarterback... Three-time All-RMAC performer and Academic All-RMAC honoree... 2002 and 2003 Offensive MVP... Became the all-time passing leader in Division II on 11-1-03 against Western New Mexico... Finished his career with 11,742 passing yards, 1007 completion's and 1898 attempts (.496) for 82 touchdowns... Averaged 273 passing yards in 43 games... Ran the ball 318 times for 47 yards, nine touchdowns and 11,789 total offensive yards... Tallied 2,216 plays in his four year career... Led Division II in total offense in 2002 with 4,245 yards... Accumulated for 9,424 passing yards and 9,435 yards of total offense in three years... Named to the 2003 National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame (NFFCHF) All-Colorado Offensive Honorable Mention Team... Guided the Skyhawks to lead the nation as a team in passing offense with 4,109 yards (373.5 ypg) and third overall in total offense with 5,135 yards (466.8)... Earned d2Football.com and Don Hansen's Football Gazette All-American Honors in 2002... Nine time national and conference Player of the Week.
⢠2003: Earned All-RMAC Honorable Mention and Academic All-RMAC honors... Became the all-time passing leader in NCAA Division II with 11,742 yards... Broke the national record on 11-01-03 in an overtime win against Western New Mexico... Completed 212 passes on 430 attempts for 2,318 yards and 15 yards, including a long of 80 yards... Notched a season high 336 passing yards on 11-15-03 against Mesa State... Ran the ball 106 times for 36 yards and two touchdowns... Threw two perfect games without any interceptions on 10-18-03 at Colorado Mines and on 11-01-03 against Western New Mexico... Offensive MVP... Named to the National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame (NFFCHF) All-Colorado Offensive Honorable Mention Team.
⢠2002: Completed 317 of 529 passes (59.9 percent) for 4,109 yards, just shy of the NCAA Division II record (4,181 yards)... Threw 37 touchdowns (long of 63), carried the ball 84 times for 126 yards and five scores...Tallied eight games of 300+ yards of passing, and four games of 440+ passing yards... Currently holds the school records for career passing attempts (1,468), career passes completed (795), most total offensive yards in a season (4,245), most touchdowns accounted for in a season (42), most total offensive yards in a game (660), most touchdowns accounted for in a game (eight), most passes completed in a season (317), most passing yards in a season (4,109), most touchdown passes in a season (37), most passes attempted in a game (70), most passes completed in a game (41), most passing yards in a game (628), and most touchdown passes in a game (seven)... Led Division II in total offense (4,245) and ranked 13th in passing efficiency (143.3)... Led the conference in passing average per game (373.5) and total offense... Named Team Offensive MVP.
⢠2001: Completed 302 of 559 passes (54.0 percent) for 3,350 yards... Threw 20 touchdowns (long of 64 yards versus New Mexico Highlands)... Carried the ball 80 times for 62 yards and one score... Tallied two games of 300+ yards of passing, and four games of 400+ passing yards... Recorded season high 5 touchdown passes and 493 yards passing against Western New Mexico... Season high 60.8 percent completion percentage (45 for 74) against Nebraska Kearney... Had season high 61 rushing yards against Western Washington... Recorded rushing touchdown versus Adams State.
⢠2000: Earned first collegiate letter by appearing in 10 games and starting 8 times at quarterback ... Became team's starting QB in the fourth game of the year ... Finished season with 1,965 passing yards and 10 TD's on 176-of-380 passing with 17 interceptions ... Threw for career-high 314 yards on 22-of-34 passing vs. Colorado Mines on 10-7-00 ... Set school record with 65 pass attempts at Fort Hays State on 9-30-00 ... Webb's 87-yard TD pass to receiver Danny Garcia vs. Colorado Mines on 10-7-00 marked the second longest scoring toss in school history ... His 176 completion's and 380 attempts are the third most in a season in the school record books ... Ranked third in RMAC in passing (196.5 yards per game) and total offense (190.2 yards per game) ... Ranked eighth in the league in passing efficiency (89.7 quarterback rating) ... Had career-high 24 rushing yards, 1 rushing TD and 17-yard carry at Western New Mexico on 10-21-00.
⢠HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Capital in 2000 ... Two-year starter at quarterback ... Chosen as first team All-Southern Idaho Conference quarterback ... Played forward on the Eagles' basketball team ... Earned all-academic honors two times in football and basketball.
